11 months and 1 year birthday

9/9/15 - Happy nine months little Crew Man.  You are changing so much and growing everyday.  You are sleeping pretty much through the night at this point.  You will still get up once in a while around 4 am just for a bottle and change and then back to bed.  You still only have four teeth and look like a little Mike Tyson with your two top teeth that are coming in with a huge gap.  You are still crawling but seem to getting closer to the walking thing.  You will stand up in the middle of the floor but won’t take more than a step or two.  You are eating almost anything at this point.  Very independent and won’t let us feed you  very often.  You hate your car seat but love the dog.  One of your favorite things is to climb up in your brothers’ video game chair and watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  You words are still unclear to me but I do hear Dad, Da da, Ma ma, Dog and Tate.  Grandma Edie taught you to talk on the phone so you will pretend you are talking on our cell phones and say “hello”…but I think we are the only ones that would be able to know that is what you are doing.  You are a big fan of Grandpa Louie and people often tell me that you look a lot like him…although I still think you look like Grandpa Vetter.  When you get tired you will scoot your head on the ground as if crawling with no hands.  You love patty cake and have started to clap a lot more and waive bye bye.

9/23/2015 - Officially walking , graduated from taking 3-6 steps to walking across the room.  We are walking :)

Had first birthday party for crew and it was a success.  We had lots of family and friends that were able to make it.  Unfortunately, Crew was born during harvest season so everyone was able to make a quick appearance and then the farmers had to get back to harvesting.  Crew had a good time but was a little overwhelmed with all the ciaos.  He was crabby and took three naps.  I didn’t get any good pictures of the day for that reason but its in the record book and he is now one!

9 months and 10 mnths

Crew had his 9 month update and did great.  Got one shot and some blood drawn out of his big toe.

Crew is very clingy He loves his mommy very much and will cry for her every time she is within eyeshot.  He is just now getting to have the same feelings for daddy.  Will actually reach for Daddy if mommy is holding him.  Crew is eating finger foods now.  He has had tortellini, ritz crackers, cereal, sausage, pancakes, mandarin oranges, etc.  Very hard to feed him baby food anymore, as he is getting very independent.  Crawling still with the one leg and can pull himself up on everything and is beginning to walk along the furniture.  Will even let go and stand for a split second.    No real words yet.  He sometimes says Na-Na which I think is mama and dada is said a little more often when David is around.  He might even be starting to say “dog” and “tate”.  Can't wait till he starts knowing the boys' names!  Rolls his tongue while crying when he gets super mad.  Wearing 12 months clothes and probably could even move up to 18 month clothes.  His favorite things include playing with the dog, taking all the diapers out of the diaper caddy, going into the office and waiting for someone to come and get him, standing up on the entertainment center and turning off the DVR system, playing with the door stops and still gets very excited about taking a tubby.

08-16-2015 First top tooth on the left popped through. Second one right behind it (four total)

Months Seven and Eight

Second Tooth (bottom, Front) - 5/27/2015

Official Crawler - 5/29/2015

Pulling himself up to standing position - 6/21/2015

Crew is getting bigger and bigger.  At the beginning of 7 months he was sitting upon and getting close to crawling.  He will sit and lean over to get into the crawling position and then just know move.   He is still sleeping great.  He will go to bed between 6:30 and 7:30 at night and sleep throughout the night.  Most of the time he will get up around 4 or 5 and I will give him a bottle and get him back to bed so I can get up at 6 and get ready for work without needing to do much with him.  He is doing great with all his food.  I have tried to move him up to foods with chunks in them and he doesn't really like the change in texture at this point.  He loves his puffs and does very well with them.  He is starting to make sounds now with his mouth and of course the first syllable he is using is DaDa.  I hear it often and not just when David is around so I'm pretty sure he isn't calling out for Dada even though David uses it to his advantage.  Crew is also into making noises with his tongue and mouth.  Still a very, very happy baby most of the time.  Has become a little cuddler when he is tired.  Will suck his thumb and put his head on my chest which I love more than anything in the world.

Learning No, will shake his head no when we say no and will even start to laugh.  Guess we aren't that respected yet :)   Becoming quite the mamas boy and will cry for me if I walk in the room.  Is beginning to pull himself up on the couch and other items.

Crew is finally sleeping through the night after about a week of tough love.  Will sleep from about 7-8 pm all the way through the night and get up about 3-4 and want to nurse.  Still not rolling over but getting close.  Almost ready to sit up.  Loves being naked and having his socks off to play with his toes.  Found a new buddy in the dog and belly laughs while the dog is running around playing with her toys.  Loves baby food that we started this month.   Getting close to holding the bottle.  Loves taking a bath so excited how he does in the water this summer.

We ended April with Crew's Baptism into the Anchor Lutheran Church.  Godparents were Sydney Vetter and Christopher Stroh

Officially rolled over for the first time from back to stomach on 3/27.

Three & Four Months

1-9-2015 First Laugh

1-9-2015 First time rolling from stomach to back.

Crew is getting bigger and bigger everyday.  he is a very good eater and it shows.  He is a chunky little monkey.  During our third month he found his voice and does a major scream alot.  It is great hearing him trying to talk no matter how loud he screams.  Crew also got a major cold at the end of January.  We took him to the doctor and he said that it was just a cold so not to worry unless his breathing becomes labored.  He is becoming more and more aware of his surroundings and playing with his toys. His sleep is crazy and he is up for 3 to four times a night.  He is starting to suck on his thumb more and more and isn't a cuddler.  Falls asleep in the car all the time.  No teeth yet but everything is going in the mouth and drooling alot.  Looking forward to teething in the next month or so.  Loves his Jumperoo not into his swing unless very sleepy.  Smiles all the time and very into the boys.
